My Three SL Wishes Meme

web_5161c90f2dd6b32fa2000001

1. I wish Linden Lab would offer more variety of Linden Homes.

I like change, and yes, I could rent, but I’m not able to spend enough time inworld to justify buying or renting land. I like the little home that I have because it is almost small enough that it can be filled with nicely detailed objects to make it cozy within the allotted prim limit. However, a nicely detailed mesh house would be great, and I think it is time for an upgrade. I see no need for the two story homes because the prohibitive prim limits make them impossible to decorate without still appearing sparse.

2. I wish I had more time to learn how to make things in SL.

I seem to be among the minority that appreciates the mesh clothing models, but I have spent a good deal of my free time trying to learn to texture the items, and honestly, it feels pretty darn good to make something your own, even if it looks like shit. Practice makes perfect, but dang, it requires a lot of practice for those of us not highly skilled in image software. I’ll keep trying because, well, that is just how I am.

3. I wish LL would pay more attention to the Premium Sandboxes.

I love having access to the premium sandboxes because they are usually not terribly crowded and they are lag free. Lately, however, there has been a lot of griefer objects or being unceremoniously turned into a horrendous looking praying mantis type creature which requires a relog to rectify. Terribly annoying if you are in the middle of a project. It would also be awesome if they could provide some high quality vendors with textures or something to inspire creativity and help the newbs along.

Why Do I Blog?

How long have you been blogging?
I believe I created my first blog in 2010

Why did you start blogging?

Initially I began to blog as means in which to respond to negative postings on the old SL General Discussion board as many posts were deleted, some for obvious reasons, others, not so much. It was a means of having a voice of sorts.

How many times a week do you post an entry?

Hmmm, looking at the current cumulative total to include the posts currently marked as private, I would say 0.5 times per week.

How many different blogs do you read on a regular basis?

I am subscribed to 6, but I read approximately 15-20 different blogs on a regular basis.

Do you comment on other people’s blogs?
Not often, although I usually intend to comment. When time presents for me to post a comment, the conversation is old news and it would look all necroposty…which we all know is an internet crime and best avoided.

Do you keep track of how many visitors you have?
It is not a concentrated effort to do so but I can see the summary of stats on my dashboard and I get a email generated report from site meter that I rarely open and read anymore.

Did you ever regret a post that you wrote?
There was a time that I thought I did, but once the person yet again resurfaced and set about on her nonsense again, the regret faded. I speak my mind, I’m blunt, and I have had to make some apologies for being too harsh in a few of the verbal jousting rounds that take place on occasion.

Do you think your readers have a true sense of who you are based on your blog?
No…I think they may have a true sense of how opinionated I am online and what I like to do or attempt to do in my SL, but no…I think many people would be shocked if they met me in RL to find that I’m very quiet, shy, peaceful, and extremely passionate about those that I care about and the advocacy groups that I work with. I think most would be surprised to find that I acually have living friends, don’t live in a basement, am a good bit of fun to hang-out with, and I shower twice daily.

Do you blog under your real name?
Maybe.

Are there topics that you would never blog about?
I never say never ;P

What is the theme/topic of your blog?
Apparently the new theme is Strawberry Singh’s SL Meme Responses 😛 I don’t know that I ever had a specific theme in mind and I have always just used the blog for whatever seemed interesting at the time.

Do you have more than one blog?
Maybe.

What have you found to be the benefits of blogging?
Only I can delete/hide the content…and I can use potty mouth 

So, why do you continue to blog?
Well, I don’t blog as often as I think “I should blog that!” I have many interests and I do enjoy a good conversation, debate, and a dose of drama ever now and again…so I guess I continue to keep my blog active in case I ever have the time to develop it into a theme based blog.

SL Name Meme

web_515b8fd6d440194506000001What’s your SL name? Ima Rang

What made you choose this name? Ima is an acronym for a professional certification I hold. I had just completed my re-certification application prior to signing up for SL and it, like Rang, is just easy to remember.

What’s your SL nickname, or what do most people call you? Troll.

What’s your SL display name? Why do you choose to have one? (if applicable) I don’t have one.

Do you like your SL name? Yes.

If you could change your SL name, what would it be? I don’t think I would change my SL name.

What’s the craziest/funniest SL name you’ve ever seen? Ah…so many, but alas, one does not come to mind at the moment.

What’s the coolest (your favorite) SL name you’ve ever seen? Same answer as above.
